Best-1

From Product/ Manufacturer Pamphlet:
The “Best-1”® HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER is a product of many years of experimenting and field testing to provide the “BEST” hummingbird feeder on the market today for the least investment to you.

The “Best1” ® Feeder is the result of improving a metal can bottom painted red and attached to an I,V. bottle referred to as the “Best” Hummingbird Feeder developed in 1971, only to find the metal feeder had many problems. The bending, leaking, and major problems encouraged us to move forward and have the mold we now have in operation designed for the new “Best-1”® HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER. Each year we evaluate out “Best-1” ® Feeder and check for needed improvements to provide a “Quality” and “Superior” product. The “Best-1” ® bottom is made of the “Best” quality material available.

It is designed to prevent other birds, bees and wasps from drinking the nectar, due to the countersunk cap. The new material, Hi-Impact Styrene, with U.V. Stabilizer added, will eliminate discoloration. In 1999 we have redesigned the “Best-1” ® feeding base to come apart for EASY CLEANING.

To assemble, merely place base on the threads and tighten correctly. PLEASE CAUTION: HAND TIGHTEN THE BOTTLE ONTO THE RED PART CAREFULLY AS THE STYRENE RED NECK WILL CRACK IF CONNECTED IMPROPERLY!!!

The glass quart bottle is large enough to keep you from refilling so often, and has a lot of eye appeal. After numerous requests, we now offer an 8 oz. feeder. Please remember to hang the small feeder out of wind.

It is very important for the little birds’ health to keep your container clean and the nectar fresh. Otherwise, fermenting may occur. The nectar must be used or changed at least twice weekly. You may want to use a CLEANING BRUSH to clean your feeder.

[Snip] First year feeders should only ‘half-fill’ the bottle until several “HUMMERS” are feeding. [Snip] Now you are ready to hang your feeder in a favorite shady spot, 6 or 7 feet high. In the “HUMMERS’ own individual season, these little birds fly may miles from Old Mexico, Central, North and South America, Canada, Alaska and the Caribbean to nest, raise their young, drink nectar from your feeder and give you lots of pleasure.

In some California and Florida areas the “Hummers” reside all year around. When the season is over [Snip] clean your “Best-1”® feeder thoroughly and store out of the weather, as it will last much longer.

DO NOT PLACE IN DISHWASHER

There are many look alike imitators but only one “BEST-1” ®. Accept no substitute!
